CASE CLINICALS
Dental Implants

Tooth loss can be resolved by using dental implants.
This is a restoration anchored to a titanium screw inserted into the bone crest, which allows us to avoid involving the teeth adjacent to the missing element.

Sometimesimplant placement may be concurrent with tooth extraction and immediate application of a crown screwed onto the implant. In more complex cases, a bone and soft tissue regeneration technique may be required. In other cases, placement of endosseous implants may be through minimally invasive techniques associated with postoperative courses.

The actual insertion of implants is done through extremely precise guides, without incisions, disconnection and suturing of gingival tissues. The method also offers the possibility of applying fixed prostheses immediately after the procedure. Today, the technique to be used for implant placement varies depending on the situation and the case, and modern dentistry offers a variety of possibilities.

MY CLINICAL CASES

Regaining the will to live and smile

Patient's request
The patient has stopped smiling and lost confidence in the dentist. After years of treatment and money spent, the situation of her mouth is dramatic: poorly treated teeth, fractured teeth, poorly executed prosthetic crowns.

Treatment and results
An excellent relationship of trust was established with the patient right from the start, allowing her to be guided and put herself totally in the hands of our team. We had to go through a rehabilitation process where extractive surgery, implant surgery, endodontic treatment and prosthetics were required. In the end, the patient regained her smile, zest for life and self-confidence.

Implant for incisor tooth insertion

Patient's request
The patient wishes to put back his incisor tooth, fractured years earlier, thus returning to his smile.

Treatment and results
After taking an X-ray, we noticed the remnant of the fractured tooth root still in place; therefore, we proceeded to remove the root remnant and placed the implant along with regenerative material to improve osseointegration. After three months, we proceeded to prosthesize the implant with a prosthetic crown that allowed the patient to regain function and aesthetics and return to smiling freely.

Returning to a beautiful smile

Patient's request
The patient wishes to return to her natural smile, without being ashamed.

Treatment and results
After careful radiographic and clinical examinations, we found that the patient's teeth, all of which had already been treated by old treatments and lined with incongruous and caries-infiltrated prosthetic crowns, were now compromised. Therefore, in agreement with the patient, to avoid numerous painful treatments, we decided on the extraction of all her upper teeth, and concurrently the placement of eight implants along with a temporary prosthesis, all on the same day. After six months, the time needed for the process of osseointegration of the implants, we made her final ceramic crowns.

Second premolar tooth implant

Patient request
The patient wishes to functionally and cosmetically rehabilitate the second premolar tooth, which has a caries-infiltrated prosthetic crown that is decaying and coming off.

Treatment and results
After removing the crown and performing an X-ray, the remaining stump was assessed to be completely carious, as well as badly devitalized. The tooth was extracted, and an implant was placed in the same session along with regenerative material to improve osseointegration. After three months, the time required for osseointegration, the implant was prosthesized with a prosthetic crown that restored excellent function and aesthetics, as well as giving guarantees of durability.

Implant placement on edentulous patient

Patient request
The patient is completely edentulous (toothless) and wears two removable total dentures. He wishes to rehabilitate both upper and lower arches with fixed teeth to return to relationship life and return to eating.

Treatment and results
In one appointment, six implants in the upper arch and five implants in the lower arch were placed and temporary fixed prostheses already anchored to the implants were delivered. Six months after the surgery, the final prostheses were delivered.
