CLINICAL CASES
Combined Dental Prosthetics.

The modern form of removable dentures is the combination denture.

By this type of rehabilitation we mean a rehabilitative prosthesis that can be fixed on implants or on natural teeth. This type of combination of fixed prosthesis and removable prosthesis can be anchored to pre-existing or new teeth, crowns, bridges, or implants.

This is a removable prosthesis, but fixed and stabilized by the presence of some hidden anchoring devices that makes it aesthetically pleasing, stable and functional. Depending on the rehabilitation situation, this can be a very valid solution from both an aesthetic and functional point of view.

MY CLINICAL CASES

Implant-anchored removable upper and lower dentures

Patient request
The patient wishes to have a new smile and return to eating, after years of incongruous and cosmetically unacceptable removable dentures on both the upper and lower.

Treatment and results
To fulfill the aesthetic and functional demands of the patient, we fabricated a new stable upper prosthesis that could give comfort to the patient. To rehabilitate the lower, we placed implants in the anterior region of the mandible, then made an ultra-light titanium bar that could bear the chewing load of the prosthesis and anchored the prosthesis to the implants.

Fabrication of ceramic crowns to support removable dentures

Patient request
The patient wishes to improve his smile and have a more stable and comfortable prosthesis to return to a normal relationship life.

Treatment and results
Taking advantage of the remaining teeth, fixed ceramic crowns have been fabricated that support and give stability to the removable dentures through a system of stable and strong anchors and attachments. The removable denture will be removed only for cleaning and hygiene maneuvers.
