The patient wanted to recover the integrity of his first molar tooth that had been reconstructed with an old filling in fractured composite. He also wanted to replace the amalgam restoration full of cavities on the second molar tooth.
Treatment and results
After having recovered the integrity of the first molar tooth through a minimally invasive intervention of the gingival tissue, the tooth was devitalized and prepared to be reconstructed with a full ceramic inlay, which returned a perfect function and aesthetic. For the second molar tooth it was enough to take a precision impression, having completely eliminated the old amalgam reconstruction and prepared the tooth to be reconstructed with an integral ceramic inlay.
